Well That Was........ Something.......... Disappointing But Something............

Well there goes the season. Once again neither of the SCF teams from last year make it out of the first round. I don't know who to root for now that Ducks are out. Maybe Philly or Montreal. Definitely not Detroit or Dallas or San Jose or really anyone in the west. Except maybe Colorado.

This leads to some questions:
  • Will Scott Niedermayer return for one more year?
  • Will Teemu retire?
  • Will they add some scorers? Cause if you haven't noticed they need some. The leading goal getter this year had 29. Granted he was hurt late in the season.
  • Do they lock up Hiller for a couple years? I hope so.
  • Was letting Penner go worth it? How about the Macdonald for Dougie Weight trade?
  • Will Parros come next season with a mullet?
  • That last one was to relieve the tension.
Well here is to next season.

I think Parros will be a Duck next season. Cause I don't think his contract is up (but I could be wrong) and he is a fan favorite at the Ponda. They sell Parros Staches. I agree that was the dumbest trade of the year. They could have moved someone else to make room for Scotty. And with Burke probably on the way out as GM other moves are up in the air.

Parros could be traded in an attempt to add one or two forwards. I think a lot will depend on the TaMOO Salami. By no means would I say he is safe though, and if not now then possibly before the deadline next season.
Burke is probably heading east. And the biggest questions are

Are the ducks done being annual cup contenders?

will the NHL fix the 3 point game problem (and it is a problem)?

will anyone repeat as a champ?

Will the NHL get more games on the next TV contract?

Can any other team in the league get a TV contract (the Hawks have all 82 broadcast) , maybe the Ducks?

The Ducks had all games on tv this year. I don't think that they will trade parros because he is there to keep the goons in there place. You hit one of our skill players then the stache is gonna beat you down. Like there was a game in chicago where I forget who it was but it was right when Pronger returned from having a plate put in his jaw from taking a hit off of a slap shot. The dude took a shot at his head when he was wearing an apparatus to protect his jaw. Next shift Parros goes and starts beating the guy down. The big tough guys curled up in the corner and was crying. I'm sorry but if you take a cheap shot on the other teams captain you have to be willing to drop the gloves and take it.

Burke is being kinda confusing about whether he is staying or going. Like yesterday he stopped short of just coming out and saying he was staying but who knows.

I don't think they are done. They have some promising prospects coming up. Maybe Teemu will see how well he still played this year and come back. The same with Scotty. It is a completely different without Scotty.

The three point game is a huge problem. There were too many games down the stretch were teams went shut down in a tied game just to get a point. I don't have any ideas except maybe only award the one point if you lose in a shootout.
